A teen told police she woke up to discover that Manchester City soccer player Benjamin Mendy’s boyfriend and “middleman” Luis Saha Matori was raping her, the court heard.

The young woman, then 17, said she went to Matori’s flat near Manchester city center with a friend in the early hours of April 8 last year.

Matori, 41, and another man, identified only as “Ghost” or “G,” were also there and the four spent time playing cards, Chester Crown Court heard.

Then she said she was getting tired and Matori told her she could use the spare bedroom to sleep.

But she said she was later woken up after being fondled before being raped.

The young woman said she thought the person who ‘hanged’ her from behind was the man known as Ghost, but the man was wearing a hood over his face and didn’t say anything to her.

Benjamin Mendy’s friend and “reformer” Louis Saha Matori of Eccles, Salford, has denied six counts of rape and three counts of sexual assault involving seven young women

Man City footballer Benjamin Mendy has denied seven counts of rape, one count of attempted rape, and one count of sexually assaulting six young women.

Man City footballer Benjamin Mendy has denied seven counts of rape, one count of attempted rape, and one count of sexually assaulting six young women.

She said it was only after the alleged attack ended and she got up that she realized it was Matori.

“I started crying,” she told police in a video interview shown to the jury.

I sat there for a moment, ‘What the hell is this! ‘ I ran out crying.

When this was happening, I wasn’t awake properly. There was a point where I woke up properly and he got off of me.

“It doesn’t sound like a big deal but it was awful at the time.”

But Lisa Wilding KC, defending Matori, questioned the witness’s version of events.

The court heard in March of last year, a month before Matori raped the 17-year-old, her friend, 19, told her she woke up being raped by the defendant.

Under questioning, Lisa Wilding K. Si, Matori’s advocate, asked the teen: ‘She was saying Saha was a rapist. After I told you that, you kept going back to the apartment?

She answered, “Yes.”

Mrs. Wilding suggested that she was fully aware of who she was having sex with and that it was consensual.

She said police later found an email on the teen’s phone from a company called Compensation Experts.

Mrs. Wilding continued: “Was it something you said happened with Saha?”

She replied, “No.”

“You deliberately lied about what happened that night and lied to support your friend in her case against Saha,” said Ms. Wilding.

The teenager replied, “No.”

Prosecutors alleged that Mindy was a “predator”, who “turned the hunt for women for sex into a game” while Matori, his friend and “fixer”, allegedly had a job searching for young women for sex.

Mendy denies seven counts of rape, one count of attempted rape and one count of sexually assaulting six young women.

Matori of Eccles, Salford, denies six counts of rape and three counts of sexually assaulting seven girls.

The two men say that if any sex takes place with women or girls, it is consensual.

The trial is continuing.
