PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan insists that their strategic alliance with the DP World Tour benefits golf enthusiasts globally and that the partnership helps grow the game.

The two tours announced the expansion of their partnership in June, ensuring the growth of prize money on the DP World Tour and providing its members with a straightforward path to earning PGA Tour tickets.

“I think as it relates to the world and LIV rating points, this is a matter of the official World Golf Rating Board,” Monahan explained. “I am not in a position to comment on their request.

“Any questions you have with their order, they’d better answer them.

“I think the standards are well-established. They’ve been set for a long period of time and have served this game very well. At this point, I’m not involved in those conversations.”
